“My friends and I walked up the east side of the Yamaska river yesterday. There is a very dangerous situation at the Faezenden falls, the major technical drop just upstream from Brandy road, downstream of Brome Lake. A log is jammed just past the lip of the drop, invisible from a river approach. I is about 6 inches above water level about 1.5 feet below the lip. Perfect for the kayak to go under and the log to cath the person in the belly. It’s covered with branch stubs about 5″ long. Just right to puncture someone’s body. Then drown them. We didn’t think of taking a photo till we were in the car after dark. Maybe you have some way of getting the word out. I’m worried because the river is full and would be a fun ride, someone might brave the cold and try it. If they don’t scope out that drop, they’re dead. Meanwhile, we’ll try to get the nasty thing out of there, but not before next week-end. I’ll let you know if we succeed. The river is very full.”
