Voici le _mail que j’ai envoyé:

    Hello Steve,

Would it be possible to update your topo on the St. Anne du Nord? You see, for many years, access has been forbiden for this section and a local guy is trying to negociate access to this section as well as another one just after it that is intermediate-expert run, thus accessible to more people.

Some guys just recently ran the 7 chutes section thus geopardizing the work that has been done thus far in trying to get access to all the kayak comunity to this nice section of river.

So, it would be nice if you could ask people to go on the local forum https://www.quebeckayak.qc.ca and inquire about access protocol before trying this section. Hopefully some access can be negociated in the near future but if other people go before this is done we could lose any hope of ever getting access to this river.

Thanks in advance for your understanding!

Patrice, speaking for Quebec’s kayak comunity.

    Allo Patrice,

il faut croire que les grands esprit se rencontre car je cherchais justement son email. Mais pour lui demander de retirer son vidéo des 7 chutes…

    Merci de l’initiative !

    Hi Patrice (and others)

    Thanks for the note.

As the purpose of LiquidLore is to promote river access, I don’t want to contribute to making the access situation worse at the 7 Chutes. It is not a problem for me to change the webpage to emphasize the fact you enter over closed private property and it’s worth asking on the forum beforehand what the current situation is. If the local consensus is to remove the 7 Chutes info I can do that too (I don’t prefer this option though).

The info I have posted is largely based on my first trip there in 2007 – we simply called up the park manager and asked if we could kayak the falls – they were accommodating and everything went smoothly.

If I understand correctly they don’t allow this any more. To be honest I’ve moved away from the area and I haven’t been keeping up to date on local access issues.

Unfortunately I can’t do anything about other content online – I can only edit the info at liquidlore.com or on the blog.

Thanks for the response Steve. Please do put this note. I don’t think it necessary to entirely remove the info. Just emphasize on the fact that it is private property and ask on the forum before going.

    Regards!
